Eggstreme Farming Where everything sits on the yard
Green signs rent. Grey cabinet vends. The computer is indoors.
Eggstreme Farming is first-person on a small rural lot, not an open-world map with fast travel. New players still type “where is the vendor” and “how to clean the pens.” This page is a walk of the lot: farmhouse computer, delivery crates, species pens, vending machine, bed, bins, lights, trash, and the broom you should not throw. Hands are controls. Opening buys are getting started.
Farmhouse and computer
The computer sits indoors on a table — Market, Management, Bank, Music. Close it before Tab. Launch shows cash on every store screen. ESC-in-store was a known demo investigation; use the window’s own close if pause feels sticky. Catalog detail is the shop page.
Delivery pad and unpacking
Bought goods land as boxes in open space. Unpack outside the fence. A May patch blocked unpacking inside pens because animals froze or stopped laying. Look for the crate model — launch gave each SKU its own box so a hen crate and a shelf crate no longer look identical.
Species pens and the green sign
Pens are species-specific: chicken, duck, goose, turkey. The active rental shows green text on the sign. A duck yard will not accept a hen. The demo advertised two pens; the full game still makes you rent the matching yard before placement. Extra fences are a daily Management line — farm expansion and bills.
There is no mop hotkey. Steam’s “How to clean the pens???” thread is this: you do not scrub. You rent, unpack, place (C). Controller users hunt a face button that does not exist. Launch’s left-handed preset remaps the same verbs.
Vending machine
The grey cabinet against a barn wall is the only legal sale. Screen lists size values. Walk a matching tray to it. How to sell eggs is the stuck-carton checklist.
Food, water, lights, trash
Each rented yard has a food bin and a water bin. Fill both before Tab. Launch’s water refill machine sits in a pen after you unpack it. Yard lights help you see night eggs; they also lean on the electricity bill. A May patch added more trash bins for packaging. Do not throw the broom in one — launch-week threads ask where to restock a tossed sweeper, and there is no documented crate.
Bed
Demo 0.2.1 added a bed to skip night. Sleep does not pay invoices and briefly had a “animals stop laying after sleep” bug, patched in the same update. History is demo history.
Collector path
The automatic egg collector is a placed machine, not a map pin. It does not replace walking gold eggs (golden eggs). Put it where white/brown flood, then still visit the vendor.
Walk the rectangle once on hour one: computer, delivery, chicken sign, bins, vendor, bed. After that the lot is muscle memory, not a missing map item. Official screenshots on the links hub match this layout.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common farm questions.
Where is the vending machine?
The grey cabinet on the lot, usually against a barn wall. Walk a matching tray to it. See how to sell eggs and this farm map.
How do I clean the pens?
You don’t. Rent the matching species pen (green sign), unpack outside, place with C. Controls cover the hands.
Where do deliveries spawn?
As crates in open space. Unpack outside the fence. In-pen unpack was patched. Details in shop.
Where is the bed?
Indoors; added in demo 0.2.1 to skip night. It does not pay bills.
I threw the broom away. Where do I buy another?
Launch notes do not list a broom restock crate. Do not G-throw tools into trash bins added in May.
