Eggstreme Farming Patch notes and launch changes

Demo sleep bugs to launch collectors — read the date on your build.

Updates Hub

Eggstreme Farming shipped a public demo in May 2026 and the full Steam Windows build on 4 September 2026. Sagitta Studios (solo) used the demo as a bug and balance lab: sleep systems, missions, UI, and time all moved before the paid launch. This hub is the dated map. If a YouTube clip is missing a collector or a six-egg tray, it is almost certainly a demo recording, not a missing hotkey.

Two child pages cover the split:

  • Launch notes — the official “OUT NOW” list from 4 September 2026.
  • Demo update history — demo launch, v0.2.1 bed/sleep, v0.3.0 missions, v0.3.1 UI and time.

Read launch first if you bought the game after September. Read demo history if a creator’s HUD does not match yours or if you still have the free demo (app 4669490) installed beside the full game (app 4152550).

Why the dates matter in play

The loop never changed at the slogan level: licenses, species pens, trays, vending machine, bills. The labor changed. Demo farmers collected every egg by hand and could be forced to sell only full trays. Launch farmers can buy an automatic egg collector, sell partial trays, and keep a six-egg tray for bill nights. Demo farmers waited on night-only time tricks; launch farmers may accelerate time at any hour. Demo farmers could not sell a hen back out of a pen; launch farmers can remove and sell animals.

If you follow a May walkthrough blindly you will hunt systems that were patched or skip systems that now exist. Pair this hub with the walkthrough for the license ladder and with automation for the new machines.

How to tell which build you are watching

Clues a video is demo-era:

  • No collector, no water refill machine.
  • Only a dozen tray, and the creator refuses to sell until every slot is full.
  • No bill-due warning on the HUD.
  • Animals stuck after sleep (fixed in v0.2.1).
  • Missions that stall or grant odd XP (reworked in v0.3.0 and again at launch).

Clues a video is launch-era:

  • Left-handed preset mentioned in settings.
  • Partial tray dumped into the vending machine to hit a bill.
  • A machine sitting in a pen collecting eggs or topping water.
  • A hen being sold back to the market.

Store news, the community hub, and the support inbox are listed on official links. This wiki is unofficial; when a future patch disagrees with a page here, the Steam news post wins.

What we will not invent

Sagitta’s launch post also listed items still “next,” including an automatic food refill. Until that ships in a dated news post, it is not a wiki machine page. Mixed Steam reviews after launch are a reception fact for the review, not a patch note.

Use system requirements if a stutter appeared after you moved from demo to full — launch added extra delivery-box models per store item, which is a load spike, not a missing setting.

When you finish the notes, go back to play: getting started if the yard is new, how to make money if bills are the patch you actually need.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common farm questions.

When did Eggstreme Farming fully release?

4 September 2026 on Steam for Windows. The launch notes list what that build added over the May demo.

Is the demo still useful?

As a taste of the loop, yes. As a guide to machines and tray rules, no. Compare demo history with launch before you copy a May video.

Where is the automatic egg collector documented?

In the launch notes and the automation guide. It did not exist in the public demo.

Did XP and missions change after May?

Yes. Demo v0.3.0 reworked missions; launch rebalanced XP again. Treat old level screenshots as atmosphere.

Where are official patch posts?

Steam news for app 4152550, linked from the links hub.
